Asbjørn Skarstein
Asbjørn Skarstein (7 March 1922 – 22 October 1999) was a Norwegian civil servant and diplomat. He was born in Kristiania, and held the siv.øk. degree. He was hired in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an assistant secretary in 1956. Kristiania
Oslo ( or ; ) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Arne Langeland
Arne Langeland (24 November 1928 – 15 December 2019) was a Norwegian jurist, civil servant and diplomat. Arne Langeland was born in Nøtterøy, and was a cand.jur. by education. He was hired in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1953, and was promoted to subdirector in 1963. From 1965 to 1970 he served as counsellor to the embassy in Geneva. After an intermezzo working as a lawyer, he returned to diplomacy in 1976 as Vice Secretary General of the European Free Trade Association. He was then appointed deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Trade in 1978, and was permanent under-secretary of state from 1981 to 1982. Georg Kristiansen
Georg Kristiansen (4 March 1917 – 24 August 2003) was a Norwegian military officer and diplomat. He was born in Kristiania, and after finishing his secondary education in 1935 he studied languages and history before taking a military education. He attended the Norwegian Military Academy-in-exile (in London) and became an officer in 1943. He actively served as a captain until 1945, and was decorated with the Defence Medal 1940–1945. He was hired in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1946. He was an attaché and embassy secretary in France from 1947 to 1952 before returning to Norway. He was promoted to assistant secretary in 1952, sub-director in 1959 and deputy under-secretary of state in 1962. In between he was a head teacher at the Norwegian National Defence College from 1957 to 1959.
