Asaf Jafarov
Asaf Jafarov ( az, Asəf (Ağasəf) Əli İskəndər oğlu Cəfərov; 28 July 1927, in Baku – 3 April 2000, in Baku) was a Soviet Azerbaijani painter, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Azerbaijani SSR. Early life and education Asaf Jafarov was born on 28 July 1927 in Old City (Baku). His first education was at a painting school named after Azim Azimzade from 1945 until 1950. From 1951 until 1957, he continued his education at Surikov Moscow Art Institute. Career In 1957 he was sent to India and Pakistan for creative trips by the Institute. His works are mostly in still life, thematic picture and portrait genres. Asaf Jafarov created a new gallery of works with his own composition, coloring and designs. National colors, folklore and traditional content are dominant in the artist's creativity. Vajiha Samadova
Vajiha Samadova ( az, Vəcihə Əli qızı Səmədova; 24 November 1924 – 24 October 1965) ) was Azerbaijan's first professional female painter and was honored as a Distinguished Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR in 1964. Shortly after her passing, her name was immortalized by dedicating a gallery hall in the Azerbaijan Artists Union to her memory. Presently, four of Vajiha Samedova's artworks are preserved and safeguarded within the collection of the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery. Life Vajiha Samadova was born in 1924 in the family of confectioner Karbalayi Ali and housewife Rubaba Samadova. Vajiha's father was Karbalayi Ali, an Azerbaijani from Kars. Together with his brother, he moved to Yerevan and from there to Baku, where he met Mrs. Rubaba. Mrs. Rubaba was from an Azerbaijani family who came from Qom, Iran. A still is an apparatus used to distill liquid mixtures by heating to selectively boil and then cooling to condense the vapor. A still uses the same concepts as a basic distillation apparatus, but on a much larger scale. Stills have been used to produce perfume and medicine, water for injection (WFI) for pharmaceutical use, generally to separate and purify different chemicals, and to produce distilled beverages containing ethanol. Application Since ethanol boils at a much lower temperature than water, simple distillation can separate ethanol from water by applying heat to the mixture. Historically, a copper vessel was used for this purpose, since copper removes undesirable sulfur-based compounds from the alcohol.
