Asadullah Boroujerdi
Asadullah Boroujerdi () was a prominent 19th century Muslim Shia clergy member born in the city of Boroujerd. Children His eldest child was Mirza Dawood. His other three children were Mirza Ziaeddin, Mirza Askari and Mirza Mohammad Mehdi. All were among the prominent clerics of their time. Boroujerdi married the daughter of scholar Mirza Qomi and had three children with her, Jamaluddin Muhammad, Fakhr al-Din Muhammad and Nureddin Muhammad, all of whom received their highest clergy ranks from Boroujerdi. Boroujerd
Borujerd ( fa, بروجرد ''Borūjerd'') is a city and the capital of Borujerd County, Lorestan Province in western Iran. At the 2016 census, its population was 234,997 persons. Among the existing modern cities in Iran, Borujerd is one of the oldest reported at least since the 9th century. In Sassanid Empire, Borujerd was a small town and region neighboring Nahavand. Gaining more attention during Great Seljuq Empire in the 9th and 10th centuries, Borujerd stood as an industrial, commercial and strategic city in Zagros Mountains until the 20th century. Muhammad Hasan Ashtiyani
Muhammad Hasan Ashtiyani (c. 1832 – 1901) was an Iranian Shia mujtahid, jurist, and man of hadith. He was involved at the Tobacco protest against the Tobacco Régie in 1891. Biography Muhammad Hasan Ashtiyani was born in 1832 in Ashtiyan, in Markazi province, Iran. His father passed away when he was at age of 3. His mother hired a private teacher to educate him, from whom he learned basic education such as writing and reading the Quran. He became fascinated by theology and traveled to Boroujerd to study in a seminary. At the time, the seminary of Boroujerd was considered among the best. He learned Arabic literature and jurisprudence. At the same time, he participated in Sayyed Shafi Japalqi's courses who taught the religious teachings of Shia. Following his time in the seminary, Ashtiyani traveled to Najaf and became one of the special pupils of Shaykh Ansari.
