Asad ad-Dīn Shīrkūh bin Shādhī (; ), (died 23 March 1169) was a Kurdish Mercenary commander in service of the Zengid dynasty, then the Fatimid Caliphate and uncle of Saladin. His military and diplomatic efforts in Egypt were a key factor in establishing the Ayyubid dynasty in that country. Name The pronunciation and the meaning of Shirkuh is not quite clear: it could mean “the mountain lion” or possibly Shirguh (Sher-gue) in Kurdish “having the lion’s ear". His Arabic honorific ''Asad ad-Din'' similarly means "the lion of faith". Dawlat Wazir Bahram Khan (), born as Asaduddin, was a 16th-century medieval Bengali poet and the Wazir of Chittagong in southeastern Bengal. He is best known for his magnum opus '' Laily-Majnu'' which is a thematic Bengali adaptation of Jami's version of the classic tale. Among his other notable works are long poems such as ''Imam Bijoy'' which was a retelling of the 7th-century Battle of Karbala that had taken place in Iraq. Career Asaduddin was born into a wealthy Bengali Muslim family in the city of Chittagong. It is thought that he was either from the neighbourhood of Jafrabad or Fatehabad. His father, Mubarak Khan, was the Vizier of the city's governor Nizam Sur. Asaduddin Owaisi (born 13 May 1969) is an Indian politician who is serving as the third and current president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) since 2008. He is a five time Member of Parliament (India), Member of Parliament representing the Hyderabad (Lok Sabha constituency), Hyderabad constituency in Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India, Indian Parliament. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (; AIMIM) is a right-wing Indian political party based primarily in the old city of Hyderabad, It is also a significant political party in the Indian States of Telangana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Bihar.
