''Arzoo'' () is a 1950 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Shaheed Latif and produced by Hiten Chaudhary. The film stars Dilip Kumar, Kamini Kaushal and Shashikala. Shaheed Latif
Shaheed Lateef (11 June 1913 – 16 April 1967) was Hindi film director, writer, and producer. He was the maker of films like '' Ziddi'' (1948) which launched Dev Anand's career and '' Arzoo'' (1950) starring Dilip Kumar and Kamini Kaushal. Early life and background He befriended Saadat Hasan Manto, but also Ismat Chughtai (1915–1991). They married in 1941, and later had two daughters. Career Lateef shifted to Bombay (now Mumbai) and started his career with Bombay Talkies, a noted film studio of Hindi film industry, where he wrote dialogues for Ashok Kumar-starrer, '' Naya Sansar'' (1941), followed by Amiya Chakravarty's ''Anjaan'' (1941) and Gyan Mukherjee's '' Jhoola'' (1941). Talat Mahmood
Talat Mahmood (24 February 1924 – 9 May 1998) was an Indian playback singer who is considered as one of the greatest and most popular Indian male film song and ghazal singers. Although he tried his luck as a film actor, he did not succeed a great deal in acting. Talat Mahmood received the Padma Bhushan award in 1992, in recognition of his artistic contributions in the spheres of cinematic and ghazal music. He was particularly famous for singing soft and sombre ghazals in his quivering and silky voice. Mukesh Chand Mathur (22 July 1923 – 27 August 1976), better known mononymously as Mukesh, was an Indian playback singer. He is considered to be one of the most popular and acclaimed playback singers of the Hindi film industry. Among the numerous nominations and awards he won, his song "Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha Hai" from the film '' Rajnigandha'' (1973) won him the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.
