Arzen
Arzen (in Syriac ''Arzŏn'' or ''Arzŭn'', Armenian ''Arzn'', ''Ałzn'', Arabic ''Arzan'') was an ancient and medieval city, located on the border zone between Upper Mesopotamia and the Armenian Highlands. The site of the ancient Armenian capital of Tigranocerta, according to modern scholars, in Late Antiquity it was the capital of the district of Arzanene, a Syriac bishopric and a Sasanian Persian border fortress in the Roman–Persian Wars of the period. After the Muslim conquests, it briefly became the seat of an autonomous dynasty of emirs in the 9th century, before being devastated in the wars between the Byzantine Empire and the Hamdanids in the 10th century. By the 12th century, it had been abandoned and ruined. Today, few traces of the town survive. Arzhan Culture
Arzhan is a site of early Saka kurgan burials in the Tuva Republic, Russia, some northwest of Kyzyl. It is on a high plateau traversed by the Uyuk River, a minor tributary of the Yenisei River, in the region of Tuva, 20 km to the southwest of the city of Turan, Tuva Republic, Turan. The Arzhan culture is considered as forming the initial Scythian period (8th–7th century BC), and precedes the Pazyryk culture. The remains of Arzhan are among the earliest of all known Scythian cultures, which has led to suggestions that it is the origin of the Scythian "Animal Style". It is the first stage of the Saka Uyuk culture. Arzhan kurgans The excavations showed burials with rich grave goods including horses and gold artifacts. There are several hundred kurgans. Arzan Nagwaswalla
Arzan Nagwaswalla (born 17 October 1997) is an Indian cricketer. He made his List A debut for Gujarat in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 11 February 2018. He made his first-class debut for Gujarat in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 1 November 2018. He made his Twenty20 debut for Gujarat the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 25 February 2019. In May 2021, he was named as one of four standby players in India's Test squad for the final of the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship and their away series against England. He was not selected in the playing eleven. Early life Nagwaswalla was born to a Parsi family in Surat but grew up in Nargol, a village which is situated on the border of Maharashtra in Umbergoan town in Gujarat.
