Artūras Skardžius
Artūras Skardžius (born 17 November 1960) is a Lithuanian politician. He has been a member of the Seimas since 2021, having previously served from 2000 to 2008 and from 2012 to 2020. He has been a member of the Dawn of Nemunas since 2024, and was a member of the New Union (Social Liberals) from 1998 to 2006, the Social Democratic Party from 2011 to 2016, the Lithuanian Regions Party from 2019 to 2020, and the Labour Party from 2020 to 2022. Seimas
The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania (), or simply the Seimas ( ; ), is the unicameralism, unicameral legislative body of the Lithuania, Republic of Lithuania. The Seimas constitutes the legislative branch of Government of Lithuania, government in Lithuania, enacting laws and amendments to the Constitution of Lithuania, Constitution, passing the budget, confirming the Prime Minister and the Government of Lithuania, Government and controlling their activities. Its 141 members are elected for a four-year term, with 71 elected in individual constituencies, and 70 elected in a nationwide vote based on open list proportional representation.
