Artyom Arefyev
Artyom Alexandrovich Arefyev (russian: Артём Александрович Арефьев) (born 17 June 1984) is a Paralympian Track and field, athlete from Russia competing mainly in category T36 sprint events. He competed in the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece. There he won a gold medal in the men's 400 metres - T36 event, and a gold medal in the men's 1500 metres - T36 event. He also competed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, People's Republic of China, China. There he won a gold medal in the men's 800 metres - T36 event, and a silver medal in the men's 400 metres - T36 event. Track And Field
Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. The name is derived from where the sport takes place, a running track and a grass field for the throwing and some of the jumping events. Track and field is categorized under the umbrella sport of athletics, which also includes road running, cross country running and racewalking. IPC Athletics European Championships
The World Para Athletics European Championships (''European Para Athletics Championships''), known prior to 2018 as the IPC Athletics European Championships is an event organized by World Para Athletics, the international athletics federation established under the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in 2016. Athletes with a physical disability compete, and there is also a specific category for athletes with an intellectual disability. Organised biennially, the original Games ran from 2003 to 2005 as an Open Championship but the event was frozen in 2005, but returned in 2012 in Stadskanaal, Netherlands.
