Artur Fonte
Artur Alberto Ferreira Fonte (born 8 August 1959) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a left-back. Club career Born in Lisbon, Fonte spent 12 seasons in the Primeira Liga, playing 290 matches for F.C. Penafiel (three spells), C.F. Os Belenenses and Vitória de Setúbal. He made his debut in the competition on 23 August 1980 whilst at the service of the first club, in a 1–0 home win against C.S. Marítimo. Also with Penafiel, in the 1988–89 campaign, Fonte appeared in a career-best 35 games to help his team to the 14th position. He retired at the age of 33, after one year in the lower leagues. International career Fonte represented Portugal at the 1978 UEFA European Under-18 Championship and the 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship. Rui Pedro da Rocha Fonte (born 23 April 1990) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a forward. After signing for Arsenal as a 16-year-old, he only made one competitive appearance for the club before signing with Sporting CP, who loaned him several times for the duration of his contract, including at Espanyol, who acquired him permanently in 2011. He subsequently joined Benfica, where injury problems saw him feature sparingly until his release; with his next team, Braga, he notably won the 2016 Taça de Portugal. José Miguel da Rocha Fonte (born 22 December 1983) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for and captains Primeira Liga club Casa Pia. He started his professional career with Sporting CP B, moving to England with Crystal Palace in 2007. He signed for Southampton in 2010, where he made 288 appearances in all competitions until he joined West Ham United in January 2017. The 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship, the second staging of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, FIFA World Youth Championship, was held in Japan from 26 August to 7 September 1979.
