Arti Mehra was Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) from 2007 to 2009. She was replaced by Prithvi Raj Swahney. She represents the Hauz Khaz ward in South Delhi for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She was born in Nangal in the Indian state of Punjab, and graduated from the Miranda House. She had done a course in marketing in the United States. She had previously served as the chairperson of health committee in MCD. The Aam Aadmi Party (; AAP) is a political party in India, as one of the national political parties. The AAP was founded in November 2012 by Arvind Kejriwal and his then-companions following the 2011 Indian anti-corruption movement, popularly known as Anna Andolan. Somnath Bharti (born 10 May 1974) is an Indian lawyer who has become a politician representing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). As a lawyer, he practised at the Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court. 2013 Delhi State Assembly Elections
The Delhi Legislative Assembly election was held on 4 December 2013, with the result announced on 8 December resulting in formation of the Fifth Legislative Assembly of Delhi.
