Arthur Van Doren
Arthur Georges Stanislas Henri Van Doren (born 1 October 1994) is a Belgian field hockey player who plays as a defender for Dutch Hoofdklasse club Bloemendaal and the Belgium national team. He is the brother of fellow Belgian international Loic Van Doren. In 2017, he won simultaneously both FIH awards of FIH Player and FIH Rising Star of the Year. At the 2018 Hockey Stars Awards he was named the FIH Player of the Year for the second time in a row. Club career He played club hockey in Belgium for KHC Dragons. With this club, he became the national hockey champion in 2011. In 2012, he was honoured with the Golden Stick (category junior male players) by the Belgian Hockey Association. Shortly after he won the FIH player of the year award in 2018, it was announced he would join his current club HC Bloemendaal from the 2018–19 season onwards. 2021 Men's EuroHockey Championship
The 2021 Men's EuroHockey Championship was the 18th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Championship, the biennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. The tournament was held alongside the women's tournament at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands and was originally scheduled to take place from 20 to 29 August 2021. However, following the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to July and August 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled and took place from 4 to 13 June 2021. The top five teams qualified for the 2023 FIH Hockey World Cup. The hosts Netherlands won the tournament for the sixth time, beating Germany in a 4–1 penalty shoot out after a 2–2 tie. The Royal Belgian Hockey Association ( nl, Koninklijke Belgische Hockey Bond; french: Association Royale Belge de Hockey) is the governing body for the game of (field) hockey in Belgium. It was formed in 1907 and as of 2014 it is presided by Marc Coudron. Loic Philippe Oscar Serge Van Doren (born 14 September 1996) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays as a goalkeeper for Dragons and the Belgium national team. He is the brother of fellow Belgian international Arthur Van Doren. Club career Van Doren came through the youth ranks of Dragons and played there for the senior team until 2018 when he transferred to Dutch club Den Bosch. After three seasons in Den Bosch he returned to Dragons for the 2021–22 season. International career Van Doren played for the Belgian under-21 national team at the 2016 Junior World Cup, where they won the silver medal. He made his debut for the senior national team in a test match in South Africa. He was the second goalkeeper of the Belgian team that won the 2018 World Cup. The Men's Hoofdklasse Hockey, currently known as the Tulp Hoofdklasse Men for sponsorship reasons, is the men's top division of field hockey in the Netherlands. The league ranks third in the European league ranking table. The league was established in 1973, and before the league existed the champions of the several district played in a championship pool to determine the national champion. The 2012 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship was the 16th edition of the men's EuroHockey Junior Championship, the biennial international men's under-21 field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation.
