Arthur Riddell
Bishop Arthur George Riddell (born 15 September 1836, Barnard Castle, County Durham https://northamptondiocese.org/bishops/ – died 1907, England, UK) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Northampton from 1880 until his death in 1907. The Bishop of Northampton is the Ordinary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Northampton in the Province of Westminster, England. Diocese Of Beverley
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Beverley is an historical diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in England. It took its name after St John of Beverley, 8th century bishop of York. The episcopal see was located in the city of York. The diocese was established in 1850 and was replaced by the dioceses of Leeds and Middlesbrough in 1878. It was restored as a titular see in 1969. Robert Cornthwaite (9 May 1818 – 16 June 1890) was an English prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was last Bishop of Beverley and the first Bishop of Leeds. Early life and ministry Robert Cornthwaite was born in Preston, Lancashire, the son of William and Elizabeth (née Cuerden) Cornthwaite., ''The Episcopal Succession, volume 3'', p. 398. He entered St Cuthbert's College, Ushaw on 9 May 1830, and received the Tonsure and the four minor orders from Bishop Francis George Mostyn on 5 June 1841. Richard Lacy (16 January 1841 – 11 April 1929) was an Irish-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the first Bishop of Middlesbrough from 1879 to 1929. The Cathedral Church of St Mary and St Thomas is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Northampton, England.
