Arthur Hill (Canadian Actor)
Arthur Edward Spence Hill (1 August 1922 – 22 October 2006) was a Canadian actor. He was known in British and American theatre, film, and television. Early life Arthur Edward Spence Hill was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, on 1 August 1922, the son of Edith Georgina (Spence) and Olin Drake Hill. He was studying pre-law at the University of British Columbia when he joined the RCAF. As part of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, Hill served in the mechanic corps. After the war he finished his law degree, then became interested in acting, which he studied in Seattle, Washington. Career In 1956, he appeared as an accused murderer in episode 17 of ''Colonel March of Scotland Yard,'' an English/American production starring Boris Karloff. Melfort, Saskatchewan
Melfort ( 2016 population 5,992) is a city in Saskatchewan, Canada, located approximately southeast of Prince Albert, northeast of Saskatoon and north of Regina. Melfort became Saskatchewan's 12th city in 1980. Melfort was formerly called the "City of Northern Lights" due to the frequency with which the aurora borealis appears. However, in 2016, Melfort became "Play Melfort" due to its vast recreation programs and facilities. The city is bordered by the Rural Municipality of Star City No. 428 and the Rural Municipality of Flett's Springs No. 429. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Peter Chapman First Nation band government. Originally intended to be part of a nine- play cycle entitled ''A Tale of Possessors Self-Dispossessed'', ''Mansions'' was an incomplete rough draft written between 1936 and 1939 that O'Neill did not want posthumously finished or produced. A sequel to ''A Touch of the Poet'', it picks up four years later in 1832 Massachusetts, with Simon Harford, now married to Sara Melody, finding himself the pawn in a battle between his wife and his mother to control him through love. Played out against the background of an industrial revolution, the struggle ultimately leads to tragedy and despair. The title of the play was derived from the line "Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul" in the poem '' The Chambered Nautilus'' by Oliver Wendell Holmes. ''Something Wicked This Way Comes'' is a 1983 American dark fantasy film directed by Jack Clayton and produced by Walt Disney Productions, from a screenplay written by Ray Bradbury, based on his 1962 novel of the same name.
