Artem Shlaine
Artem Shlaine (born 7 March 2002) is a Russian professional ice hockey centre for the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL). Early life Shlaine was born to Dmitri and Ekaterina Shlaine, and has a brother, Daniel. He attended Shattuck-Saint Mary's in Faribault, Minnesota. He was drafted in the fifth round, 130th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 2020 NHL entry draft. Playing career College On 13 May 2020, Shlaine committed to play college ice hockey at Connecticut, after originally committing to play at Boston University. During the 2020–21 season, in his freshman season, he recorded one goal and eight assists in 23 games. He led the Huskies and Hockey East in face-off win percentage at 60.2 percent, winning 162 face-offs. 2023–24 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began on October 6, 2023, and concluded with the NCAA championship on April 13, 2024. This was the 76th season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship is being held, and is US college hockey's 130th year overall. Conference realignment After Robert Morris suspended its program in the summer of 2021, a successful fundraising campaign allowed the team to return for this season. The program rejoined Atlantic Hockey, bringing the number of conference members back up to 11. The Division I AHCA All-American Teams are an annual honor bestowed by the American Hockey Coaches Association to the college hockey players judged to be the top performers in their division. Each team is composed of at least one goaltender, two defensemen and three forwards on ice hockey programs. American Hockey Coaches Association
The American Hockey Coaches Association was formed in 1947 in Boston. The founding members coached college ice hockey but membership has grown to include coaches at every level of the sport from youth hockey to professional ice hockey, although the organization maintains a focus on the collegiate game.
