Art School Girlfriend
Polly Louise Mackey, also known by her stage name Art School Girlfriend, is a Welsh musician, producer, and singer-songwriter. Career 2011–2016: Early career and previous band In early 2011, Mackey moved to London with her shoegaze band, Deaf Club. Their debut EP, ''Lull'' was released for free on Bandcamp in 2011. ''Clash magazine'' wrote, "Deaf Club layer sound upon sound to blur their songwriting into a hallucinatory experience... They move in unexpected directions which demonstrate a real bravery." ''Lull'' was followed by a sold-out double A-side cassette on the Transgressive Records imprint, Kissability. Wrexham ( ; ) is a city status in the United Kingdom, city in the North East Wales, north-east of Wales. It lies between the Cambrian Mountains, Welsh mountains and the lower River Dee, Wales, Dee Valley, near the England–Wales border, border with Cheshire in England. The Maccabees (band)
The Maccabees are an English indie rock band, formed in 2004 in London. They released four albums: '' Colour It In'' in 2007, followed by '' Wall of Arms'' in 2009, '' Given to the Wild'' which was released on 9 January 2012 and their last album '' Marks to Prove It'' released on 31 July 2015. The band announced that they decided to disband in August 2016, with farewell gigs in 2017. On 25 October 2024, it was announced that the band were reuniting. Name The band came up with the name by flicking through the Bible and picking out a random word. POP Montreal is an annual List of music festivals, music festival occurring in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in the early fall, usually at the end of September or the beginning of October. More than 400 bands are scheduled to play in more than 50 venues across the city, mostly located in the Mile End, Montreal, Mile End area. Along with music, POP Montreal has music-related film (Film POP), art events (Art POP) as well as a conference (POP Symposium) and a craft market called Puces POP. Heaven (nightclub)
Heaven is a gay superclub in Charing Cross, London, England. It has played a central role and had a major influence in the development of London's LGBT scene for over 40 years and is home to long-running gay night G-A-Y. The club is known for Paul Oakenfold's acid house events in the 1980s, the underground nightclub festival Megatripolis, and for being the birthplace of ambient house. Soundshaft also hosted Future, a regular night on Thursdays run by Paul Oakenfold. At the end of the night, both crowds would come together when the doors connecting Heaven and Future opened for the last couple of songs. Ghostpoet (born Obaro Ejimiwe; 18 January 1983) is a British vocalist, songwriter and musician. He released five critically acclaimed albums with two being nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. Based in Berlin, he has expanded his work to include fine art since 2021. Ejimiwe was born in South London to a Nigerian father and a Dominican mother. At the age of 18, he enrolled at Coventry University and joined a grime/MC collective there. The Church Studios is a recording studio located in a former church in Crouch End, North London, England. Paul Richard Epworth (born 25 July 1974) is an English record producer, songwriter, musician, and remixer.
