Arpenik Nalbandyan
Arpenik Nalbandyan ( hy, Արփենիկ Նալբանդյան, December 23, 1916 – May 17, 1964) was a Soviet-Armenian artist. Biography Arpenik Nalbandyan was born on 23 December 1916 in Tbilisi. From 1935 to 1941 she studied painting at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Georgia. Nalbandyan became a member of the Armenian Artists Union in 1943. In 1946 she started to teach at the Yerevan Institution of Fine Arts and Theater. In 1948 and 1952 she was elected as deputy of City Council. In 1956 she was awarded the "Honored worker" medal, and 1957 she was appointed to teach in Moscow. In 1961 she became Honorary Artist of the Armenian SSR. Arpenik Nalbandyan died on 17 May 1964 in Yerevan. The National Gallery of Armenia ( hy, Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահ, ''Hayastani azgayin patkerasrah'') is the largest art museum in Armenia. Located on Yerevan's Republic Square, Yerevan, Republic Square, the museum has one of the most prominent locations in the Armenian capital. The NGA houses significant collections of Russian and Western European art, and the world's largest collection of Armenian art. The museum had 65,000 visitors in 2005. Yerevan State Academy Of Fine Arts
State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia (SAFAA, hy, Հայաստանի գեղարվեստի պետական ակադեմիա), is a state-owned public university located in Yerevan, Armenia. Founded in 1946, operating jointly with the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography, the Fine Arts Academy had become independent since 1994. The academy is located on 36 Isahakyan street of the central Kentron District of Yerevan. The rector of the academy is Professor Aram Issabekyan. Eduard Isabekyan (; November 8, 1914 – August 17, 2007) was an Armenian painter, founder of thematic compositional genre in Armenia. Biography *2007 – August 17 Eduard Isabekyan died.
