Arnold Van Opstal
Arnold Van Opstal is a Filipino-German professional basketball player who last played for the GlobalPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He has also played as part of the Philippine national basketball team in international competitions. Van Opstal played for the De La Salle University in the collegiate-level. Early life Arnold Van Opstal was born in December 15, 1991 Germany. He was born to Heinz, a German who was the former PAL general manager of Europe and Luzviminda Llantero who works at the Department of Foreign Affairs (Philippines), Department of Foreign Affairs as head of the Machine Readable Passport Personalization Center of the Office of Consular Affairs. 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge
The 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge was the 6th FIBA Asia Challenge, an international basketball tournament of FIBA Asia which was hosted by Iran from 9–18 September 2016. This tournament served as the first step in determining the process of the qualifiers for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup which will feature teams from both FIBA Asia and FIBA Oceania for the first time. Iran are the defending champion from 2014. The top five teams earned their respective sub-confederations an extra berth for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup which is formerly named as the FIBA Asia Championship. The Hapee Fresh Fighters was a basketball team owned by Lamoiyan Corporation that played in the PBA Developmental League (PBA D-League). The franchise began in the Philippine Basketball League from 1994 until the league became dormant in 2010. The franchise was revived in 2014 when it took over the franchise of the NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA D-League.
