Arno Van Wyk
Arno van Wyk (born 19 May 1994) is a South African professional rugby union player, currently playing with French side in the Top 14 competition. He usually plays as a hooker. Rugby career Blue Bulls Van Wyk was born in Parow, but was never selected to represent at school level. He moved to Pretoria after school to join the academy prior to the 2013 season and made thirteen appearances for a side that won the 2013 Under-19 Provincial Championship, scoring tries in matches against the Leopards and Border. He made three appearances for in the 2014 Varsity Cup, scoring a try in his side's 26–16 victory over . He made his first class debut on 25 April 2014, coming on as a replacement for the final half an hour of their match against the and scoring a try in his side's 116–0 victory. Parow, South Africa
Parow is a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape, South Africa and a Northern Suburb of the City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality founded by Johann Heinrich Ferdinand Parow who arrived in the locality in 1865. History During a great storm in Table Bay in 1865, 19 ships were stranded. Amongst the many schooners was the ''Kehrwieder'', the ship of Captain Johann Heinrich Ferdinand Parow. After being stranded, Captain Parow settled down in the Cape of Good Hope and married Johanna Wilhelmina Timmerman, the daughter of the family that helped Captain Parow after being stranded on the Cape coast. Parow quickly realised the potential value of the Tyger Valley area north of Cape Town and that the area held great opportunities for cattle trade. Captain Parow soon moved inland to this area and started selling ground in the area which is today known as Parow, which built up a great deal of wealth for the Captain. 2015 Under-21 Provincial Championship Group A
The 2015 Under-21 Provincial Championship Group A was contested from 10 July to 24 October 2015. The competition (also known as the ''ABSA Under-21 Provincial Championship'' for sponsorship reasons) was the top tier of 2015 edition of the Under-21 Provincial Championship, an annual Under-21 inter-provincial rugby union competition featuring fifteen South African provincial unions. The competition was won by ; they beat 52–17 in the final played on 24 October 2015. 2016–17 Top 14 Season
The 2016–17 Top 14 competition was the 118th French domestic rugby union club competition operated by the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR). Two new teams from the 2015–16 Pro D2 season were promoted to Top 14 this year, Bayonne and Lyon in place of the two relegated teams, Agen and Oyonnax. It marked the first time that both promoted teams had returned on their first opportunity after relegation (Bayonne and Lyon were both relegated during the 2014–15 Top 14 season).
