Arne Sandnes (Nord-Trøndelag)
Arne Sandnes (2 March 1924 – 23 May 2016) was a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party (Norway), Centre Party. Sandnes was elected to the Municipal council (Norway), municipal council of Snåsa Municipality in 1952, and later became mayor. Sandnes served as county mayor of Nord-Trøndelag (1975-1991). He was the brother of history professor Jørn Sandnes. (Norwegian language, Norwegian; ) or ; /ˈsnɔ̯ɑse/ is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Trøndelag Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Innherred Districts of Norway, region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Snåsa (village), Snåsa. Other villages include Agle and Jørstad. The municipality is the 23rd largest by area out of the 357 municipalities in Norway. Snåsa is the 275th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 2,114 inhabitants. Nord-Trøndelag
Nord-Trøndelag (; "North Trøndelag") was a counties of Norway, county constituting the northern part of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. It bordered the old Sør-Trøndelag ("South Trøndelag") county as well as the county of Nordland. To the west is the Norwegian Sea (Atlantic Ocean), and to the east is Jämtland in Sweden. The county was established in 1804 when the old Trondhjems amt was divided into two: Nordre Trondhjems amt and Sør-Trøndelag, Søndre Trondhjems amt. Jørn Sandnes
Jørn Sandnes (3 May 1926 – 12 April 2007) was a Norwegian historian. He was born in Snåsa Municipality in Nord-Trøndelag. He was appointed Professor in Trondheim from 1975 to 1992, From 1984 he served as the first rector (academia), rector at the University of Trondheim. Among his works is ''Norsk Stadnamnleksikon'' from 1976 (jointly with Ola Stemshaug), and ''Avfolking og union'', volume four of ''Cappelens Norgeshistorie'' from 1977. Nord-Trøndelag County Municipality () was the regional governing administration of the old Nord-Trøndelag county in Norway. The county municipality was established in its current form on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2018, when Nord-Trøndelag was merged with the neighboring Sør-Trøndelag county, creating the new Trøndelag county which is led by the Trøndelag County Municipality. Kolbjørn Almlid (born 2 June 1945) is a Norwegian businessperson and politician for the Centre Party. He hails from Verran Municipality. From 1989 to 1990, during Syse's Cabinet, he was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.
