Arnaud Cohen
Arnaud Cohen (born January 28, 1968) is a French contemporary artist, sculptor, and visual artist. Biography Presented in 2015 by the daily ''Le Figaro'', Arnaud Cohen began his career as a visual artist in 1997 by integrating with the Marwan Hoss gallery (Paris and Brussels). Marwan Hoss was then also Vice President of the International Fair of Contemporary Art. After a setback following the partial closure of the Marwan Hoss Gallery in 2000, Cohen was back at work in 2005. His practice is close to twentieth-century propaganda practices used both in the 1920s and 1930s in Russia and Germany and also in the late 1960s and 1970s to serve the proletarian cause (hence his exhibiting on the occasion of May 68 commemorations side by side with Gérard Fromanger, Jean-Jacques Lebel, and Erró at the Salvador gallery, an exhibition curated by collector Yves Cothouit), but also since the 1950s to serve the commodification of goods and services. Wim Wenders
Ernst Wilhelm "Wim" Wenders (; born 14 August 1945) is a German filmmaker, playwright, author, and photographer. He is a major figure in New German Cinema. Among many honors, he has received three nominations for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature: for '' Buena Vista Social Club'' (1999), about Cuban music culture; '' Pina'' (2011), about the contemporary dance choreographer Pina Bausch; and '' The Salt of the Earth'' (2014), about Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado. One of Wenders's earliest honors was a win for the BAFTA Award for Best Direction for his narrative drama '' Paris, Texas'' (1984), which also won the Palme d'Or at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival. Mémorial De La Shoah
Mémorial de la Shoah is the Holocaust museum in Paris, France. The memorial is in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, in the Marais district, which had a large Jewish population at the beginning of World War II. The memorial was opened, by President Jacques Chirac, on 27 January 2005. This day was chosen to coincide with International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp. The memorial underwent a major renovation in 2005, creating exhibition spaces, a multimedia center, and a reading room. Areas of the memorial Forecourt The forecourt of the memorial above the memorial crypt, includes a circular memorial listing the names of the death camps and the Warsaw Ghetto. The September 11 attacks, commonly known as 9/11, were four coordinated suicide terrorist attacks carried out by al-Qaeda against the United States on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The Château de Montsoreau-Museum Contemporary Art is a private museum open to the public in Montsoreau, France. It opened 8 April 2016. The permanent collection exhibited at Château de Montsoreau consists of Philippe Méaille's collection of works by the conceptual art collective Art & Language. History Philippe Méaille, who lives in Anjou, worked with Christian Gillet, the president of the department of Maine-et-Loire, to study the possibility of creating a museum of contemporary art in Anjou, and to install his collection in the château de Montsoreau, a departmental property. On 19 June 2015, Christian Gillet offered Méaille a 25 year lease. Restoration works During the redevelopment of a former storage room, the masons discovered a chimney dating from about 1450. Whitechapel Gallery
The Whitechapel Gallery is a public art gallery in Whitechapel on the north side of Whitechapel High Street, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The original building, designed by Charles Harrison Townsend, opened in 1901 as one of the first publicly funded galleries for temporary exhibitions in London. The building is a notable example of the British Modern Style. In 2009 the gallery approximately doubled in size by incorporating the adjacent former Passmore Edwards library building. It exhibits the work of contemporary artists and organizes retrospective exhibitions and other art shows.
