Armel Sayo
Armel Mingatoloum Sayo (born 17 August 1979), also known as Armel Bedaya or Commandant Sayo, is a Central African politician and warlord who served in three different ministerial positions under Panza and Touadera's presidencies. He also served as the leader of Revolution and Justice until its disarmament in 2019. Early life and military career Sayo was born on 17 August 1979 in Bangui. His biological father's name is Sayo Robert, an accountant at Bangui Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was later adopted by . Under Patassé administration, Sayo was the country's Director of Security. After the 2003 coup, an armed group entered his house and attempted to assassinate Sayo, his mother, father, brothers. Faustin-Archange Touadéra (; born 21 April 1957) is a Central African politician and academic who has been President of the Central African Republic since March 2016. He previously was Prime Minister of the Central African Republic from January 2008 to January 2013. In the December 2015 – February 2016 presidential election, he was elected to the presidency in a second round of voting against former prime minister Anicet Georges Dologuélé. He was re-elected for a second term on 27 December 2020. Gadoulou
Gadoulou is a village situated in Lim-Pendé Prefecture, Central African Republic. History In June 2014, RJ controlled Gadoulou. RJ clashed with MISCA forces in the village on 14 August, killing the militia's commander, “Waluba”, and injuring his deputies and two rebels. In January 2018, MNLC militia commanded by Ahmat Bahar seized the village. It caused the villagers to flee to Paoua and they only returned when MINUSCA drove the rebels away from the village. 2020–21 Central African General Election
General elections were held in the Central African Republic on 27 December 2020 to elect the President and National Assembly. A second round of the legislative elections was originally scheduled to take place on 14 February 2021. Voting was not able to take place in many areas of the country that are controlled by armed groups resulting in some Central African media and opposition candidates describing the elections as a farce and fraud. Some 800 of the country's polling stations, 14% of the total, were closed due to violence. During the first round, voting did not take place in 29 of 71 sub-prefectures, while in six others only a partial vote took place before being shut down due to voter intimidation. Rodrigue Ngaibona alias Andjilo is a former Anti-balaka leader in the Central African Republic, arrested in 2015 and convicted 2018 for his crimes during the civil war.
