Armando Segato
Armando Segato (; 3 May 1930 – 19 February 1973) was an Italian footballer and manager who played as a midfielder. Club career Armando Segato was born in Vicenza, Italy. He played as a left halfback for the fabulous Fiorentina side of the 1950s, which won one Serie A championship during the 1955–56 season, followed by 4 consecutive 2nd-place finishes, and also reached the 1957 European Cup Final, only to lose to Real Madrid. In 1961 Fiorentina became the first Italian team to win a European title, the 1961 Cup Winners Cup, but he had just left Florence for a smaller Italian side, Udinese, where he closed his career in Serie B in 1964. International career With the Italy national team, Segato was among the most featured players in the decade, obtaining 20 caps between 1953 and 1959. 1960–61 European Cup Winners' Cup
The 1960–61 season of the European Cup Winners' Cup club football tournament was won by Italian club Fiorentina in two-legged final victory against Rangers of Scotland. Organised by the Mitropa Cup committee, this tournament's edition was recognised by UEFA in 1963, after lobbying by the Italian Football Federation. This was the first season that the tournament took place for the winners of each European country's domestic cup, and was the only one to be decided in a two-legged final. Only ten sides entered the competition, partially due to the low expectations for the new tournament among association football fans, and also to the unofficial nature of this edition. Júlio Botelho, also known as ''Julinho'' (; 29 July 1929 – 10 January 2003) was a Brazilian football player. He was primarily a right winger. Known for his dribbling ability and powerful shot, Julinho is regarded as one of the greatest wingers in football history. He was selected by Eric Batty in the ''World Soccer Magazine'' world XI in 1960. Club career Julinho was born in São Paulo. In association football, a cross is a medium- to-long-range pass from a wide area of the field towards the centre of the field near the opponent's goal. Specifically, the intention of a cross is to directly bring the ball into the box from an angle that allows the attacking forwards to more easily aim for goal with their head or feet. Crosses are generally airborne (floated) to clear nearby defenders, but can also be hit with force along the ground (drilled). It is a quick and effective move.
