Armando De Miranda
Armando de Miranda (1904–1975) was a Portuguese film director, screenwriter, film editor, editor and film producer, producer.Vieira p.12 He directed twenty six films, including a number of documentaries. He directed the 1945 historical adventure film ''José do Telhado (1945 film), José do Telhado'' and its 1949 sequel ''The Return of José do Telhado''. Portimão
Portimão () is a city and a municipality in the district of Faro, in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. The population in 2011 was 55,614, in an area of 182.06 km2. It was formerly known as Vila Nova de Portimão (). In 1924, it was incorporated as a ''cidade'' and became known merely as Portimão. Historically a fishing and shipbuilding centre, it has nonetheless developed into a strong tourist centre oriented along its beaches and southern coast. ''Black Capes'' (Portuguese:''Capas Negras'') is a 1947 Portuguese musical film directed by Armando de Miranda and starring Amália Rodrigues, Alberto Ribeiro and Artur Agostinho. The film takes its name from the black capes worn by the students at the University of Coimbra.
