Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbayev (born 6 July 1940) is a Kazakhstani politician who served as the first president of Kazakhstan from 1991 to 2019. Erbolat Asqarbekūly Dosaev ( , , ; born 21 May 1970) is a Kazakh politician who served as äkim of Almaty from 2022 to 2025. He previously held the position of Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan from 2019 to 2022 and was Deputy Prime Minister from 2017 to 2019. Dosaev has held several ministerial roles in finance, healthcare, and economic development throughout his career. Dosaev graduated with a degree in engineering and economics.
