Armageddon 2001
"Armageddon 2001" is a 1991 crossover event storyline published by DC Comics. It ran through a self-titled, two-issue limited series and most of the annuals DC published that year from May through October (''Legion of Super-Heroes Annual'' #2 did not tie-in to the storyline). After the event, there were two limited series, ''Armageddon: The Alien Agenda'' #1-4 (which was a direct sequel) and ''Armageddon: Inferno'' #1-4 (which was only tangentially related). Dan Jurgens (; born June 27, 1959) is an American comic book writer and artist. He is known for his work on the DC Comics, DC comic book storyline "The Death of Superman" and for creating characters such as Doomsday (DC Comics), Doomsday, Hank Henshaw, and Booster Gold. Richard Joseph Giordano (; July 20, 1932 – March 27, 2010) was an American comics artist and editor whose career included introducing Charlton Comics' "Action Heroes" stable of superheroes and serving as executive editor of DC Comics.
