Highway 52 (AR 52, Ark. 52, and Hwy. 52) is a designation for three List of Arkansas state highways, state highways in Southeast Arkansas. All segments are low volume, two-lane roadways in rural areas. The segment between Wilmot and Indian has been designated since the original 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering, with new designations created in 1966 and 1985. All segments are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). Route description ArDOT maintains all three segments of AR 52 as part of the state highway system. ArDOT estimates the traffic level for a segment of roadway was highest on the western end of AR 52 near Crossett, estimated at 3,200 vehicles per day in 2019, average annual daily traffic, on average. Near the eastern terminus, the highway saw 1,500 VPD in 2019, with counts on the other segments taken near Wilmot (240 VPD) and east of US 82 (190 VPD). Arkansas Highway 81
Arkansas Highway 81 (AR 81) is a north–south state highway in Jefferson County, Arkansas. The route runs from U.S. Route 65 (US 65) north to US 63/ US 79. The designation also includes a spur route, Highway 81 Spur, created in 2005. Both highways are maintained by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD). The Highway 81 designation has also been used for a former highway in Arkansas. A route between Arkansas City and Rohwer held the Highway 81 designation between 1926 and 1929. The designation was reused in 1945 to replace Highway 13 between Louisiana and US 65 east of Pine Bluff (present-day US 425). Crossett is the largest city in Ashley County, Arkansas, United States, with a population of 5,507, according to 2010 Census Bureau estimates. Combined with North Crossett and West Crossett, the population is 10,752. Crossett was incorporated in 1903. There are four properties on Main Street in Crossett listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as the Crossett Experimental Forest, located south. History Edward Savage Crossett (1828–1910) moved to Davenport, Iowa in 1875. He became a member of the trading firm of Renwick, Shaw and Crossett. Arkansas Highway 13 (AR 13) is a designation for three state highways in Central Arkansas. One segment of runs from U.S. Highway 63/ U.S. Highway 79 (US 63/US 79) in Humphrey north to Campground Road east of Beebe. A second segment of runs from AR 367 in McRae north to AR 385 west of Judsonia. A third segment of runs from AR 367 in Judsonia north to AR 258 east of Providence.
