Jammu And Kashmir Legislative Assembly
The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, also known as the Jammu and Kashmir Vidhan Sabha, is the legislature of Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Prior to 2019, the State of Jammu and Kashmir had a bicameral legislature with a legislative assembly (lower house) and a legislative council (upper house). The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, passed by the Parliament of India in August 2019, replaced this with a unicameral legislature while also re-organising the state into a union territory. Neelam Kumar Langeh (born 1980) is an Indian politician from Jammu and Kashmir. He was an MLA from Ramban Assembly constituency which is reserved for Scheduled Caste community in Ramban district. He won the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election representing the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was dropped from the seat in the 2024 Assembly election by the BJP. The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) is a regional political party in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir union territory and Ladakh.
