Arellano Lady Chiefs
The Arellano University Chiefs and Lady Chiefs are the athletic teams of Arellano University's varsity program. The university is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA). Its program includes several intercollegiate varsity sports teams for women and men. History Originally known as the Arellano Flaming Arrows, the team won the National Student's Championship (NSC) in the 1970s. Years later, the Chiefs entered the best-of-three finals in the men's basketball division of the NCRAA in 2006 when they were defeated by the Saint Francis of Assisi College Doves. In a repeat finals appearance in 2007, head coach Leo Isaac finally led the Chiefs to the championship with a 67–64 game three win against the EAC Generals. NCAA Philippines
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA; ) is an athletic association of ten private colleges and universities in Metro Manila, Philippines. Ronald Jayson Buenafe (born May 27, 1983) is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the Valenzuela XUR Homes Realty Inc. of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Professional career Being called as the "steal" of the 2007 draft, he performed well during his rookie season as a scoring guard. With the help of the then newly acquired Asi Taulava, they led the Tigers past the wildcard and faced the Alaska Aces in the quarterfinals where they lost 3-0. NCAA Season 85 was the 2009–10 season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association of the Philippines. The host for this year was San Beda College (SBC). The season began on June 27 at the Araneta Coliseum with United States Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney delivered the keynote speech, followed by a tripleheader of seniors' basketball games. The juniors' basketball tournament tipped off at the San Juan Gym with the remaining first round of eliminations games in basketball held at the Filoil Flying V Arena. PCU Dolphins
The PCU Dolphins are the senior athletic teams that represent Philippine Christian University. They are currently playing at the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU), after spending a leave of absence from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball. Their 2004 title was their only NCAA basketball title. The juniors team are the Baby Dolphins while the women's team are the Lady Dolphins. After the revelation in early 2007 that several of PCU's junior basketball players entered the university using fraudulent papers, the league suspended the school for the 2007-08.
