Area code 780 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for the Canadian province of Alberta. The numbering plan area comprises the northern two thirds of the province, including the Edmonton area. Breton is a village in central Alberta, Canada. It is located roughly southwest of Edmonton. History Originally called Keystone, it was established in 1909 by a group of African-American immigrants as a block settlement. Bon Accord is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located north of downtown Edmonton on Highway 28. The name is derived from the French phrase "Bon Accord", the ancient motto of Aberdeen, Scotland, the ancestral home of a first settler, Sandy Florence.
