Archives
An archive is an accumulation of historical records or materials, in any medium, or the physical facility in which they are located. Archives contain primary source documents that have accumulated over the course of an individual or organization's lifetime, and are kept to show the history and function of that person or organization. Professional archivists and historians generally understand archives to be records that have been naturally and necessarily generated as a product of regular legal, commercial, administrative, or social activities. They have been metaphorically defined as "the secretions of an organism", and are distinguished from documents that have been consciously written or created to communicate a particular message to posterity. Archivo De La Diputación Provincial De Zaragoza
Archivo is a sans-serif typeface designed by Héctor Gatti and released in 2012. It is available on the website of the type foundry Omnibus Type. In 2016, it received an award in the Tipos Latinos type design competition in Latin America. The typeface comes in two main variants, Archivo Narrow and Archivo Black. Archivo Narrow is a condensed version of the original design, suitable for use in tight spaces such as headlines. Archivo Black is bolder and has a more pronounced appearance. The Archivo typeface family features a classic style reminiscent of 19th-century typefaces. In 2021, the software was upgraded, and Archivo was also released as a variable font, allowing for adjustments in weight and width.
