2023 Directorial Debut Films
3 (three) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 2 and preceding 4, and is the smallest odd prime number and the only prime preceding a square number. It has religious and cultural significance in many societies. Evolution of the Arabic digit The use of three lines to denote the number 3 occurred in many writing systems, including some (like Roman and Chinese numerals) that are still in use. That was also the original representation of 3 in the Brahmic (Indian) numerical notation, its earliest forms aligned vertically. The Nāgarī script rotated the lines clockwise, so they appeared horizontally, and ended each line with a short downward stroke on the right. In cursive script, the three strokes were eventually connected to form a glyph resembling a with an additional stroke at the bottom: ३. The Indian digits spread to the Caliphate in the 9th ...

Warner Bros. and Walt Disney Studios celebrated their 100th anniversaries this year. '' The Super Mario Bros. Movie'' and ''Barbie'' were the only two movies that made $1 billion in 2023. A huge number of the year's films significantly underperformed at the box office, attributed to high budgets and low marketing due to the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes. Evaluation of the year In his article highlighting the best movies of 2023, Richard Brody of ''The New Yorker'' said, "Though a year in movie releases is a small and arbitrary sample size, it's nonetheless clear that, at the moment, the art of cinema is in good shape in the United States. The overwhelming commercial success of two of the year's strangest big-budget films, '' Oppenheimer'' and ''Barbie'', released on the same day this summer, is an obvious sign of t ...
