Archie Goodwin (basketball)
Archie Lee Goodwin III (born August 17, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Jiangsu Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played college basketball for Kentucky. High school career Goodwin attended Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas where he played for coach Kevin Davis and led his team to back-to-back state finals. As a junior in 2010–2011, his bid for a championship came up short when his team fell to Alma High School from Alma, Arkansas. As a senior in 2011–12, Goodwin led the Bears to the Arkansas Class 5A state championship, scoring 27 points and seven rebounds in the title game; winning championship and tournament MVP honors along the way. Goodwin was twice named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Arkansas and named to the McDonald's and ''Parade'' All-American teams. Archie Goodwin (September 8, 1937 – March 1, 1998) was an American comic book writer, editor, and artist. He worked on a number of comic strips in addition to comic books, and is known for his Warren and Marvel Comics work. For Warren he was chief writer and editor of landmark horror anthology titles '' Creepy'' and '' Eerie'' between 1964 and 1967. At Marvel, he served as the company's editor-in-chief from 1976 to the end of 1977. In the 1980s, he edited the publisher's anthology magazine '' Epic Illustrated'' and its Epic Comics imprint. He is also known for his work on ''Star Wars'' in both comic books and newspaper strips. Archie Stuart Wayne Goodwin (born 7 November 2004) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a striker for A-League Men club Adelaide United. Raised in Cooks Hill, New South Wales, Goodwin started his career with Newcastle Jets, for whom he made his professional debut, aged 16, in February 2021, becoming the club's youngest debutant. He also became their youngest goalscorer when he scored his first goal in June 2021, helping them avoid the wooden spoon. For the forthcoming seasons, Goodwin would be plagued by injuries, missing the majority of matches in the 2021–22, 2022–23 and 2023–24 season for Jets. He signed for Adelaide United in June 2024, winning the Golden Boot in his first season with 13 goals, the youngest player to ever win the award.
