Mark Dalby
(John) Mark (Meredith) Dalby (3 January 1938 – 11 February 2013) was Archdeacon of Rochdale from 1991 to 2000. Birth and education He was born on 3 January 1938, educated at King George Grammar School, Southport and Exeter College, Oxford, and ordained in 1964 following theological study at Ripon Hall, Oxford. Church career After curacies in Hambleden, and Medmenham he was Vicar of St Peter, Birmingham from 1968 to 1975; Selection Secretary for the ACCM from 1975 to 1980;Vicar of St Mark, Worsley from 1980 to 1991; Rural Dean of Eccles from 1987 until his Archdeacon’s appointment. The role was created by an Order of the Bishop on 20 May 1982. David Sharples AKC (born 17 March 1958) is a retired priest who served as Archdeacon of Rochdale and former Archdeacon of Salford. He was educated at King's College London and ordained after a period of study at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield in 1983. After a curacy at St Mary the Virgin, Prestwich he was Vicar of St Anne's, Royton from 1987 to 2002; and Director of Ordinands for the Anglican Diocese of Manchester from 2002. The Bishop of Monmouth (Welsh: ''Esgob Mynwy)'' is the diocesan bishop of the Church in Wales Diocese of Monmouth. The episcopal see covers the historic county of Monmouthshire with the bishop's seat located at Newport Cathedral (commonly known as St Woolos' Cathedral) in the city of Newport. The former Church of St Woolos, which had existed in Newport since the sixth or seventh century AD, was originally the temporary seat of the Bishop when the Diocese of Monmouth was created in 1921. Cherry Elizabeth Vann (born 29 October 1958) is a British Anglican bishop serving as Bishop of Monmouth in the Church in Wales. She previously served as Archdeacon of Rochdale from 2008 to 2020, having served all of her ordained ministry with the Church of England in the Diocese of Manchester. Early life and education Vann was born on 29 October 1958 in Whetstone, Leicestershire, England. She studied piano and violin at the Royal College of Music, becoming an Associate of the Royal College of Music (ARCM) diploma in 1978 and a Graduate of the Royal Schools of Music (GRSM) diploma in 1980. The GRSM is a diploma that may be regarded as a pass degree for the purpose of teacher training. In 1986, Vann entered Westcott House, Cambridge, an Anglican theological college. Mark Davies (born 12 May 1962) is a British Anglican bishop. Since 2008, he has been the Bishop of Middleton, a suffragan bishop in the Church of England Diocese of Manchester. Early life and education Davies was born on 12 May 1962. After graduating from the College of Ripon and York St John in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) honours degree awarded by Leeds University, he studied for the Anglican ministry at the College of the Resurrection in Mirfield starting in 1986, where he received a Certificate in Pastoral Theology. Andrew Edgar Ballard (born 14 January 1944) is an Anglican priest. He was Archdeacon of Rochdale from 2000 to 2005; and Archdeacon of Manchester from 2005 to 2009. He was educated at Rossall School, St John's College, Durham and Westcott House, Cambridge. He was ordained in 1969.
