Archaeopodagrion
Argiolestinae is a subfamily of damselflies. They belong to the flatwing damselfly family, Argiolestidae. Like their relatives but unlike damselflies of other families, they usually spread their hindwings horizontally when resting. It is the largest subfamily in Argiolestidae, making up almost three-quarters of the family's species, found primarily in Australia, New Guinea, and New Caledonia. Austroargiolestes Isabellae
''Austroargiolestes isabellae'' is a species of Australian damselfly in the family Megapodagrionidae, commonly known as a Sydney flatwing. Endemic to the Sydney district, it inhabits streams and boggy areas. It is a medium-sized to large, black and pale yellow damselfly, often with some pruinescence on adult bodies . Like other members of the Megapodagrionidae, it rests with its wings outspread. Megapodagrionidae
The Megapodagrionidae are a family of damselflies, commonly called flatwings for their habit of spreading out the hind wings horizontally when at rest. A 2013 phylogenetic analysis pares down this family into only three genera, and numerous other genera are now placed in different families, including Amanipodagrionidae, Argiolestidae, Heteragrionidae, Hypolestidae, Lestoideidae, Mesagrionidae, Mesopodagrionidae, Philogeniidae, Philosinidae, Protolestidae ''Protolestes'' is a genus of flatwings in the damselfly order Odonata. There are about eight described species in ''Protolestes''. As a result of molecular phylogenetic studies by Bybee et al. in 2021, it is now in its own family, Protolestid ..., Rhipidolestidae, Tatocnemididae, and Thaumatoneuridae.
