Aranmula State assembly constituency is one of the 140 Kerala Legislative Assembly, state legislative assembly constituencies in Kerala in southern India. It is also one of the seven Kerala Legislative Assembly, state legislative assembly constituencies included in Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha constituency. Aranmula Kannadi, meaning the Aranmula mirror, is a handmade, metal-alloy, first surface mirror made in Aranmula, a small town in Pathanamthitta in the States and union territories of India, state of Kerala, India. Description Unlike normal "silvered" glass mirrors, it is a metal-alloy mirror or first surface mirror or front surface reflection mirror, which eliminates secondary reflections and aberrations typical of back surface mirrors. They are produced by one extended family in Aranmula. The exact metals used in the alloy are maintained as family secrets; Metallurgy, metallurgists suggest that the alloy is a mix of copper and tin, so a type of speculum metal, counting as a bronze mirror. It is polished for several days to achieve the mirror's reflective surface. Elanthoor
Elanthoor is a village in Pathanamthitta district of the southern state of Kerala, India. Situated halfway between Kozhencherry and Pathanamthitta, the area was part of the Kingdom of Travancore presumably since 1820. 1967 Kerala Legislative Assembly Election
The Kerala Legislative Assembly election of 1967 was held to constitute the fourth assembly in Kerala. This election, was held in the backdrop of the 1965 election which resulted in a hung assembly and subsequent President's rule. As a result of that, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) formed a seven-member coalition known as the Saptakakshi Munnani. The Indian National Congress and the Kerala Congress contested separately. The election resulted in a landslide victory for the Saptakakshi Munnani which won a whopping 113 out 133 seats, the highest won by a coalition till date. The Kerala Legislative Assembly election of 1957 was the first assembly election in the Indian state of Kerala. The Communist Party of India won the election with 60 seats.
