Ararat Arakelyan ( hy, Արարատ Առաքելյան, born on 1 February 1984 in the Armenia), is a retired Armenian International footballer who played as either a defender or midfielder. Career Club On 20 July 2013, Arakelyan signed a one-year contract with Gandzasar Kapan. Eduard Arakelyan
Eduard Arakelyan ( hy, Էդուարդ Առաքելյան; February 28, 1950) is an Armenian painter. Early life Arakelyan was born February 28, 1950, in Gyumri (previously Leninakan), Armenia. Education Arakelyan graduated from Children's Artistic Academy in 1965 and was accepted to Art School of Panos Terlemezian in 1966. After that he continued his education in Artist-Actor Institute majoring in design. During these years he had many personal exhibitions, received many awards and has been awarded many medals for being an outstanding student. Career From 1978 to September 1998, he taught at the Art School of Panos Terlemezian. In 1981 he became a member of the Armenian Youth Artist's section. During the 80s he also had many exhibitions. An exhibition of Armenian Water Paint Masters was opened in Poland in 1988, where his painting “White Roses” brought excitement to everybody. Babken Nikolayi Arakelyan ( hy, Բաբկեն Նիկոլայի Առաքելյան; February 1, 1912August 16, 2004) was an Armenian historian and archeologist. He specialized in ancient and medieval Armenian history, culture and art. He graduated from Yerevan State University in 1938. Marat Arsen Arakelian ( hy, Մարատ Արսենի Առաքելյան) () (15 January 1929 – 20 January 1983) was an Armenian astronomer. Arakelian was a specialist in theoretical astrophysics and extragalactic astronomy. He is most noted for his catalog of “Galaxies of high surface brightness” (named Arakelian galaxies, Akn), a list of 621 objects with surface brightness at least 22.0 magnitude from an area of 1 sq. arc second. The Arakelian catalog has become a source in the study of active galactic nuclei. Hambardzum Arakelian ( hy, Համբարձում Առաքելյան ''Shahriar'' ( hy, Շահրիար), 1865, Shusha, Russian Empire - 1918, Tbilisi) was an Armenian journalist, writer and public activist, the founder of The Relief Committee for Armenian migrants (1915) and Armenian Popular party. Biography He studied in Shusha, then in Baku and Moscow, then moved to Tbilisi, where edited "Mshak" paper (succeed to Grigor Artsruni). He participated to Hague Peace Conference, marked the necessity of reforms in Armenians-inhabited territories of Ottoman Empire. An opposer of October Revolution, he was killed in 1918.
