Aprim Khamis
Mar Aprim Khamis is the Assyrian Church of the East Bishop of the Western United States. Mar Aprim Khamis was ordained as a Bishop (along with Mar Daniel Yakob) on 2 March 1973 as Bishop for Basra. He left the diocese in the same year and transferred to become Bishop of the United States and Canada. Since 1994, Mar Aprim has been serving as Bishop for the Diocese of Western United States, with his See in Phoenix, Arizona. Mār Yōsip Khnanisho ( syr, ܡܪܝ ܝܘܣܦ ܚܢܢܝܫܘܥ), the twelfth Metropolitan or ''Matran'' of Shemsdin from 1918 to 1977. Life Hakkari As it was the custom for an uncle to pass on to the first born nephew the Sacred Episcopal Office, Yōsip's mother abstained from meats until the child's birth and weaning. Yosip was born in 1893 into the Mar Khnanishu family, a family from which had come twelve Metropolitan Archbishops. He lived in the Village of Mar Ishoo in the region of Shamisdan in modern-day Turkey, near the monastery of Mar Ishoo, which had been built at the beginning of the 5th century. He studied with Rev. Rehana, his father's uncle and head of the Seminary in Mar Ishu Monastery. Yosip was ordained a deacon at age 12 and ordained as a priest in 1912 at the age of 20. Glendale () is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, located approximately northwest of Downtown Phoenix. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 248,325. History In the late 1800s the area that is now Glendale was all desert. William John Murphy, a native of New Hartford, New York, who resided in the town of Flagstaff in what was then the territory of Arizona, was in charge of building the Arizona Canal from Granite Reef to New River for the Arizona Canal Company. In 1885, he completed the canal, which would bring water to the desert land. Murphy was deep in debt, since he had agreed to be paid in Arizona Canal Company stock and bonds and land instead of cash. Roselle is a suburb of Chicago and is a village located in both DuPage County and Cook in Illinois. Roselle was first incorporated in 1922 as a bedroom community, with its train stop attracting residents commuting to Chicago or nearby suburbs for their jobs.
