Apparat (musician)
Sascha Ring (born 27 June 1978), better known by the stage name Apparat, is a German electronic musician. He was previously co-owner of Shitkatapult records. Starting out with dancefloor-oriented techno, he shifted focus towards ambient music, becoming "more interested in designing sounds than beats". He collaborates with Modeselektor under the name Moderat. Career Ring collaborated with Ellen Allien in 2003 on the album '' Berlinette'' and again in 2006 on the album '' Orchestra of Bubbles.'' In 2004, he recorded a John Peel session. The tracks from this session were rerecorded and reworked in the studio and released as ''Silizium EP'' in 2005, as a tribute to Peel. In 2007, he formed his own band to play the album ''Walls'' live. Raz Ohara joined him playing the stage piano and Jörg Waehner on drums. Quedlinburg
Quedlinburg () is a town situated just north of the Harz mountains, in the Harz (district), district of Harz in the west of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. As an influential and prosperous trading centre during the early Middle Ages, Quedlinburg became a center of influence under the Ottonian dynasty in the 10th and 11th centuries. Soap&Skin is the experimental musical project of Austrian artist Anja Plaschg (born 5 April 1990). Life Anja Plaschg grew up in a small village called Katzendorf near Gnas in southeast Styria, where her parents have a farm. She has played piano since she was six. At the age of 14 she began violin studies and developed an interest in electronic music. She attended the Graz Polytechnic for Graphic Design but dropped out at 16 and moved to Vienna shortly afterwards. There she studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in the master class of Daniel Richter, but at 18 dropped out again. After only playing a handful of concerts she was already being dubbed a "Wunderkind". John Robert Parker Ravenscroft (30 August 1939 – 25 October 2004), better known as John Peel, was an English radio presenter and journalist. He was the longest-serving of the original disc jockeys on BBC Radio 1, broadcasting regularly from 1967 until his death in 2004.
