Appan (film)
''Appan'' (Father) is a 2022 Malayalam-language tragedy-drama film co-written and directed by Maju and jointly produced by Josekutty Madathil, and Ranjith Manambarakkat under the banners of Sunny Wayne Productions and Tiny Hands Productions. The film stars Wayne as a rubber tapper, with Ananya, Alencier Ley Lopez, Grace Antony, and Pauly Valsan featuring in major supporting roles. The cinematography of ''Appan'' was done by Pappu and was edited by Kiran Das. The soundtrack was composed by Dawn Vincent. Plot Njoonju, a rubber tapper lives with his father, mother, wife and his son in a small village. Ittychan, his father is a bedridden man, but has always been and continues to be narcissistic, cruel, and a womaniser despite being bedridden. He harasses, abuses, and tortures his wife, Kuttyamma and Njoonju. All his family members wait longingly for his death. Sunny Wayne
Sujith Unnikrishnan (born 19 August 1983), known by his stage name Sunny Wayne is an Indian actor who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He made his acting debut in ''Second Show'' (2012). Personal life Wayne was born to Unnikrishnan and Soumini in Wayanad, on 19 August 1983. His original name is Sujith. He is an alumnus of Calicut University Institute of Engineering and Technology at Tenhipalam in Malappuram district, Kerala. He married his longtime girlfriend Renjini at Guruvayoor Temple on 10 April 2019. Career Sunny Wayne's first work was ''Second Show'' which was released in 2012. 54th Kerala State Film Awards
The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury formed by the academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. The jury usually consists of eminent personalities from the film field. For the awards for literature on cinema a separate jury is formed. The academy annually invites films for the award and the jury analyses the films that are submitted before deciding the winners. The awards intends to promote films with artistic values and encourage artists, technicians and producers. Thodupuzha (തൊടുപുഴ) is a municipal town located in Idukki district, Kerala, India, that covers an area of .
