(stylized as ''Αφροδιτη'') is the tenth studio album by Japanese idol duo Wink, produced by Keiichi Suzuki and released by Polystar on June 25, 1993. It features the singles " Eien no Ladydoll (Voyage, Voyage)" (a cover of Desireless' "Voyage, voyage") and " Kekkon Shiyoune". In contrast to the duo's previous albums, ''Aphrodite'' contains only one cover song. was a Japanese idol duo in the late 1980s and early-to-mid-1990s composed of and . They released their first single on April 27, 1988, and their final release was on March 31, 1996. Many of their singles topped the Oricon charts in Japan, including their biggest hit, "Samishii Nettaigyo". History In 1987, Sachiko Suzuki and Shoko Aida both entered a beauty contest given by the magazine ''Up to Boy''. Suzuki won 7th place and Aida won 9th place. The following year, Suzuki and Aida were chosen to form the duo. On April 27, 1988, they debuted with the single "Sugar Baby Love", a cover of an English song by The Rubettes. The single topped at #20 on the Oricon Chart, and was chosen as the theme song of the Fuji Television, Fuji TV drama ''Netsuppoi no!'' (熱っぽいの!, ''I'm Feverish!''), which starred Yoko Minamino and Shizuka Kudo. Chinfa Kan
(born June 24, 1953) is a Japanese lyricist of Korean descent. Biography Chinfa Kan was born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan, as a second-generation Zainichi. He graduated from Shizuoka Prefectural Hamamatsu-Nishi Senior and Junior High Schools. While attending Waseda University, he took up tanka writing and participated in the college's short song festivals. Kan made his debut as a lyricist in 1979 with Ann Lewis' "Shampoo", which was composed, arranged, and produced by Tatsuro Yamashita. He then wrote numerous hit songs with Tetsuji Hayashi. Kan also wrote lyrics for artists such as Hiromi Go, The Checkers, Agnes Chan, Akina Nakamori, Kyōko Koizumi, Anri, Miho Nakayama, KinKi Kids, Mika Nakashima, and BoA. In 1984, Kan won the Best Lyrics Award for Mariko Takahashi's "Momoiro Toiki" at the 26th Japan Record Awards. A year later, he won the Grand Prix for Nakamori's " Meu amor é..." Windham Hill Records was an independent record label that specialized in instrumental acoustic music. It was founded by guitarist William Ackerman and Anne Robinson (née McGilvray) in 1976 and was popular in the 1980s and 1990s. Neko Oikawa
is a Japanese lyricist who has written J-pop and anime theme songs over her career. Biography Neko Oikawa was born in Wakayama (city), Wakayama, Wakayama Prefecture, Wakayama. She made her songwriting debut in 1985 with Kanako Wada's "Passing Through", which won the Mitsubishi Minica Mascot Song Contest. During her time with Fuji Pacific Music, Oikawa wrote songs for numerous Japanese idols; most notably the duo Wink (duo), Wink. In 1989, her song "Samishii Nettaigyo" for Wink won the Grand Prix at the 31st Japan Record Awards and the 22nd All Japan Wired Broadcasting Awards. Tetsurō Kashibuchi
was a Japanese musician, composer, and record producer. Life After performing first in so-called utagoe coffeehouses, he joined the band Hachimitsu Pie, and when they disbanded, he joined the Moonriders. Together with his Moonrider bandmates Ryōmei Shirai and Hirobumi Suzuki he started a unit called Artport. In the 1980s, he composed many songs and produced albums for idols, especially for Yukiko Okada. He died on December 17, 2013, from esophageal cancer.
