Aphilenia Gobica
''Aphilenia'' is a genus of leaf beetles in the subfamily Eumolpinae. It is distributed in Central Asia, Central and East Asia, East Asia as well as southern Russia. Members of the genus are adapted to dry climates, and feed on bushes of the genus ''Calligonum''. In 2012, the genus was moved from the tribe Bromiini to the tribe Nodinini (now known as Typophorini). Julius Weise
Julius Weise (6 June 1844 – 25 February 1925) was a German entomologist. He specialised in Coleoptera, especially Chrysomelidae and Coccinellidae, and was one of the first entomologists to use genitalia to identify and classify species. His collections of Chrysomelidae, Coccinellidae, Staphylinidae and Carabidae are in the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin, and his collections of Cerambycidae and Coccinellidae are in the National Museum of Natural History, Washington, D.C.REFERENCES_W
at www.biol.uni.wroc.pl Collections of Curculionidae and the Scolytidae are in Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt, while his collections of Chrysomelidae and the Coccinellidae can be found in the Swedish Museum of Natural History at Stockholm.

Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan is a landlocked country in Central Asia bordered by Kazakhstan to the northwest, Uzbekistan to the north, east and northeast, Afghanistan to the southeast, Iran to the south and southwest and the Caspian Sea to the west. Ashgabat is the capital and largest city. It is one of the six independent Turkic states. With a population over 7 million, Turkmenistan is the 35th most-populous country in Asia and has the lowest population of the Central Asian republics while being one of the most sparsely populated nations on the Asian continent. Turkmenistan has long served as a thoroughfare for several empires and cultures. Merv is one of the oldest oasis-cities in Central Asia, and was once among the biggest cities in the world. It was also one of the great cities of the Islamic world and an important stop on the Silk Road. Annexed by the Russian Empire in 1881, Turkmenistan figured prominently in the anti-Bolshevik movement in Central Asia. In 1925, Turkmenistan be ...

Beetles Of Asia
Beetles are insects that form the Taxonomic rank, order Coleoptera (), in the superorder Holometabola. Their front pair of wings are hardened into wing-cases, elytra, distinguishing them from most other insects. The Coleoptera, with about 400,000 described species, is the largest of all orders, constituting almost 40% of described arthropods and 25% of all known animal species; new species are discovered frequently, with estimates suggesting that there are between 0.9 and 2.1 million total species. However, the number of beetle species is challenged by the number of species in Fly, dipterans (flies) and hymenopterans (wasps). Found in almost every habitat except the sea and the polar regions, they interact with their ecosystems in several ways: beetles often feed on plants and fungi, break down animal and plant debris, and eat other invertebrates. Some species are serious agricultural pests, such as the Colorado potato beetle, while others such as Coccinellidae (ladybirds or ...

Chrysomelidae Genera
The beetle family (biology), family Chrysomelidae, commonly known as leaf beetles, includes over 37,000 (and probably at least 50,000) species in more than 2,500 Genus, genera, making it one of the largest and most commonly encountered of all beetle families. Numerous subfamilies are recognized, but the precise taxonomy and systematics are likely to change with ongoing research. Leaf beetles are partially recognizable by their tarsal formula, which appears to be 4-4-4, but is actually 5-5-5 as the fourth tarsal segment is very small and hidden by the third. As with many taxa, no single character defines Chrysomelidae; instead, the family is delineated by a set of characters. Some lineages are only distinguished with difficulty from longhorn beetles (family Cerambycidae), namely by the antenna (biology), antennae not arising from frontal tubercles. Members of former chrysomelid subfamilies (Orsodacnidae and Megalopodidae) are also difficult to differentiate from true chrysomelids. ...

Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift
''Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift'' (''DEZ'') is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal covering systematic and taxonomic entomology. It was established in 1857 as ''Berliner Entomologische Zeitschrift'' and obtained its current title in 1875. Since 2014, it has been published by Pensoft Publishers on behalf of the Museum für Naturkunde. Publication history In 1857, the then 26-year old Gustav Kraatz published the first volume of the ''Berliner Entomologische Zeitschrift'', which was distributed among the members of the Berliner Entomologische Verein (BEV). In 1875, starting with the 19th volume, the journal was renamed ''Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift''. In 1880, a dispute lead to the society splitting into two: Kraatz founded the Deutsche Entomologische Gesellschaft (DEG), which 240 members of the original society joined (including most of the coleopterists). The original society as a result was then mainly formed by lepidopterists. From 1881 to 1913, the Berli ...

Zootaxa
''Zootaxa'' is a peer-reviewed scientific mega journal for animal taxonomists. It is published by Magnolia Press (Auckland, New Zealand). The journal was established by Zhi-Qiang Zhang in 2001 and new issues are published multiple times a week. From 2001 to 2020, more than 60,000 new species have been described in the journal accounting for around 25% of all new taxa indexed in The Zoological Record in the last few years. Print and online versions are available. Temporary suspension from JCR The journal exhibited high levels of self-citation and its journal impact factor of 2019 was suspended from ''Journal Citation Reports'' in 2020, a sanction which hit 34 journals in total. Biologist Ross Mounce noted that high levels of self-citation may be inevitable for a journal which publishes a large share of new species classification. Later that year, this decision was reversed and it was admitted that levels of self-citation are appropriate considering the large proportion of p ...
