Apagorevmeno
''Apagorevmeno'' (Greek alphabet, Greek: ''Απαγορευμένο''; English: ''Forbidden'') is Greeks, Greek singer Anna Vissi's 25th studio album, released in Greece and Cyprus on December 9, 2008, by Sony BMG, Sony BMG Greece. It is Vissi's first studio album since 2005 and the first since her Nai (1980 album), 1980 “Nai” album to not include any songs or input by Nikos Karvelas. The album was mostly produced with the Maple Jam Music Group in Los Angeles, United States, and by its head producer Greg Ladanyi. The album was reissued with three new songs and two remixes as ''Apagorevmeno +'' on November 16, 2009. Background Vissi had been working on the album for two years. In an interview with ''Down Town Magazine'' in July 2008, Vissi said that she felt the same way as she did at the start of her career by having already listened to over 600 songs in the studio in an attempt to find songs she liked. Anna Vissi (, , ; born 20 December 1957) is a Greek Cypriot singer. She studied music at conservatories and performed locally before moving to the professional scene in Athens, in 1973, where she signed with Minos EMI#Merger with Minos Matsas & Son, Minos and simultaneously collaborated with other musical artists and released promotional singles of her own while studying at the University of Athens. Alexander "Alex P" Papaconstantinou (Greek: Αλέξανδρος "Άλεξ" Παπακωνσταντίνου; born 29 December 1979 in Brännkyrka, Sweden) is a Greek-Swedish songwriter and record producer. He has worked with a number of artists including Jennifer López, Paulina Rubio, Enrique Iglesias, Antique, Helena Paparizou, Arash, Anna Vissi, Cameron Cartio, Eleni Foureira, Sarbel and Tamta. "Stin Pira" is the second single from Greek singer Anna Vissi's 2008 album ''Apagorevmeno''. Composed by Alex Papaconstantinou with lyrics by Myrto Kontova, the dance song had been a radio hit since the album's release. The single had a 12-week run in the Top 10 of the Greek Singles Chart published by Billboard. It debuted at number ten and peaked at number three for three non-consecutive weeks. The song is commonly referred to as ''Tsoules'', a part of the lyrics, also the center of controversy. The rerelease Apagorevmeno+ includes a remix of Stin Pira by the song's composer Alex Papaconstantinou. Greg Ladanyi (July 6, 1952 – September 29, 2009) was an American record producer and recording engineer of Hungarian descent, known for his work with many musicians, including Jackson Browne, Warren Zevon, The Church, Caifanes, Anna Vissi, Toto, Fleetwood Mac, Don Henley, and Jeff Healey. Biography Ladanyi began his career by working on '' Hasten Down the Wind'' under the tutelage of engineer/producer Val Garay. Around 1980 Ladanyi expanded from just engineering into production as well.
