Asada Domain
was a Japanese domain of the Edo period, located in Settsu Province. It was founded by Aoki Kazushige, who had served as a vassal of Toyotomi Hideyori, but was granted Asada after the Osaka Campaign, by Tokugawa Ieyasu. Settsu Province
was a province of Japan, which today comprises the southeastern part of Hyōgo Prefecture and the northern part of Osaka Prefecture. It was also referred to as or . Osaka and Osaka Castle were the main center of the province. Most of Settsu's area comprises the modern day cities of Osaka and Kōbe. A Dharma name or Dhamma name is a new name acquired during both lay and monastic Buddhist initiation rituals in Mahayana Buddhism and monastic ordination in Theravada Buddhism (where it is more proper to call it Dhamma or Sangha name).
