Anuryzm
Anuryzm is a progressive heavy metal band, based in the United Arab Emirates, featuring contributors from a wide variety of backgrounds and nationalities. Biography Anuryzm is a project created by Canadian guitarist John Bakhos in 2003 as a means to branch out from his background in extreme metal in favor of progressive heavy metal music. In 2010, after returning to the United Arab Emirates, Bakhos reconnected with British vocalist Nadeem Michel Bibby and forged the recording incarnation of Anuryzm. The band independently released their debut album ''Worm's Eye View'' in 2011. It featured guest performances by Martin Lopez (Soen, Opeth, Amon Amarth) on drums and by Uri Dijk ( Textures, Ethereal), who performed synths on one track. The album was subsequently re-released in 2012 in the United States via Melodic Revolution Records, and in Japan via Asian Rock Rising. Charlie Zeleny
Charlie Zeleny, also known as Charlie Z, is an American session drummer, music director and solo artist. He was also a member of the progressive metal bands Blotted Science and Behold the Arctopus, has played in a duo with keyboardist Jordan Rudess, and has performed drum duets with Terry Bozzio for The Drum Channel. His 2011 video project, Drumageddon Brooklyn, was a one-take, continuously shot 8-minute drum solo with Zeleny performing through an entire building in Brooklyn and ending on the building's rooftop. Zeleny is also known by his solo artist persona "DRMAGDN: Cyborg/Drummer DJ". Melodic Revolution Records
Melodic Revolution Records (MRR) was formed in October 2004 by Nick Katona and his wife Jennifer. It began out as a music store in Clinton, NY selling Compact Discs, DVDs, Vinyl and memorabilia. In October 2005, an art gallery was added to the shop, simply called "Revolution Gallery". In June 2006 the "Revolution Gallery" was expanded by an additional 400 square feet and became a live venue known as "Live at The Revolution" at night and "Revolution Gallery" by day. The Kevin Thompson Trio was the first to play this new site. Progressive Metal
Progressive metal (sometimes shortened to prog metal) is a broad fusion music genre melding heavy metal and progressive rock, combining the loud "aggression" and amplified guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or "pseudo-classical" compositions of the latter. One of these experimental examples introduced to modern metal was djent. The music typically showcases the extreme technical proficiency of the performers and usually uses unorthodox harmonies as well as complex rhythms with frequent meter changes and intense syncopation. Avenged Sevenfold
Avenged Sevenfold (abbreviated as A7X) is an American heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1999. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist M. Shadows, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Zacky Vengeance, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Synyster Gates, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny Christ, and drummer Brooks Wackerman. Avenged Sevenfold are known for their diverse rock sound and dramatic imagery in album covers and merchandise.
