Antonios Komizopoulos
Antonios Komizopoulos (Greek: Αντώνιος Κομιζόπουλος) was a 19th-century Greek merchant and the 4th member of Filiki Eteria (The Friendly Society). Biographical elements Komizopoulos descended from Plovdiv. In 1815, while he was in Moscow, he became a member of Filiki Eteria. Three years later—on the initiative of Nikolaos Skoufas—he joined the ''Invisible Authority'' and signed with the letters Α.Ε. He initiated many important people into Filiki Eteria including Christoforos Perraivos and spent much of his wealth for the Greek Revolution. Filiki Eteria () or Society of Friends () was a secret political and revolutionary organization founded in 1814 in Odesa, Odessa, whose purpose was to overthrow Ottoman Empire, Ottoman rule in Ottoman Greece, Greece and establish an Independence of Greece, independent Greek State. Nikolaos Skoufas
Nikolaos Skoufas (Greek: Νικόλαος Σκουφάς; 1779 – July 31, 1818) was a founding member of the Filiki Eteria ("Society of Friends"), a Greek conspiratorial organization against the Ottoman Empire that prepared the Greek War of Independence. (''retrieved from University of California Library'') Biography Skoufas was born in 1779 in Kompoti, near Arta. His father's surname was "Koumparos". He worked at various times as an apothecary, a commercial secretary and a hatter (from which he took the name Skoufas). Skoufas left as a merchant for the Russian Empire for business purposes. Christoforos Perraivos
Christoforos Perraivos (; 1773–1863) was a Greek officer of the Greek War of Independence, member of the Filiki Eteria and author. In non-Greek sources his name is usually found as ''Per(r)evo(s).'' Biography Perraivos was born on 3 April 1773 in the village of Palioi Poroi, Pieria. His family name was Hatzivasiliou (Χατζηβασιλείου), but adopted the nickname “Perraivos” alluding to the Perrhaebi, an ancient Greek tribe of Thessaly. It is believed that he was an illegitimate son of a certain monk Hieronymos, an official at the Metropolis of Larissa. In 1793, with the help of the said Hieronymos, he left Greece to study at the Greek School in Bucharest, and in 1796 to study medicine in Vienna. There he met the Greek humanist and revolutionary Rigas Feraios and entered an underground revolutionary organization. Emmanuil Xanthos
Emmanuil Xanthos (; 1772 – November 28, 1852) was a Greek merchant. He was one of the founders of the Filiki Eteria ("Society of Friends"), a Greek conspiratorial organization which opposed the Ottoman Empire. He emigrated to Italy as a youngster and was initiated in the Masonic Lodge of Lefkada ("Society of Free Builders of St. Mavra"), before finally settling in Odessa, Russia. While there, he became acquainted with Nikolaos Skoufas and Athanasios Tsakalov.
