Antonio Roma
Antonio Roma (13 July 1932 – 20 February 2013) was an Argentine footballer who played as a goalkeeper, notably for Boca Juniors. Career Nicknamed ''Tarzan'' for the way of throwing himself for the ball, he started his professional career with Ferrocarril Oeste in 1955, where he played until 1959. He was then transferred, together with teammate Silvio Marzolini, to Boca Juniors, where he debuted in the victory of 3 April 1960 against Estudiantes de La Plata. Roma stayed with Boca until his retirement in 1972, becoming one of the biggest idols of the club, with total of 323 matches in all competitions. With the club Roma won the Argentine League of 1962, 1964, 1965, and the ''Campeonato Nacional'' 1969 and 1970. In 1969, he kept his goal clear for 783 minutes. Probably the most remembered save by Antonio Roma was the penalty executed by River Plate's Brazilian player Delém, that he sent to the corner. The 1963 Copa de Campeones de América was the fourth season of South America's premier club football tournament. Nine teams entered with Bolivia and Venezuela not sending a representative. This competition was notable for the participation of many world class stars such as José Sanfilippo, Pelé, Garrincha, Antonio Rattín, Alberto Spencer and Jairzinho, among others. Copa Libertadores
The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as Copa Libertadores de América (), is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. The tournament is named after the '' Libertadores'' (Spanish and Portuguese for ''liberators''), the leaders of the Spanish American wars of independence and Brazilian Independence, so a literal translation of its former name into English is "''Liberators of America Cup''". The Copa Argentina (English: ''Argentine Cup''), officially known as the "Copa Argentina AXION energy" due to sponsorship reasons, is an official football cup competition organized by the Argentine Football Association (AFA). 1970 Argentine Primera División
The 1970 Primera División season was the 79th season of top-flight football in Argentina, with Independiente winning the Metropolitano championship (9th title) by goals for difference (43–42) after being equaled on points with River Plate. In the Nacional championship, Boca Juniors (coached by José María Silvero after Alfredo Di Stéfano resigned) won its 18th league title after beating Rosario Central in the final. Starting this season, two substitutions were allowed per team during the game. That rule had been first introduced in 1959, but for injured goalkeepers only. Unlike previous seasons, there was no team promoted from Primera B Metropolitana.
