Antonio Pucci (c. 1310–1388) was a Florentine bellfounder, town crier, self-taught as a versifier, who wrote his collection, ''Libro di varie storie'' ("Book of Various Tales"), using a popular dialect for a popular audience. In his ''Centiloquio'' he set out in ninety-one cantos' worth of chronicle from Giovanni Villani's ''Cronaca.'' In ''Le proprietà di Mercato Vecchio'' he praised, again in terzinas, the incomparable street life of Florence's crowded market piazza. In poems he could blame or praise women with equal force, a favorite medieval trope. Antonio Di Puccio Pucci
Antonio di Puccio Pucci (c. 1350 – after 1416) was an Italian architect and politician from the Pucci family. Life A member of the Arte dei Legnaioli (woodworkers' guild), he was one of the planned architects on the Loggia della Signoria (1379) in Florence. In 1381 he was examined and declared fit to take up Republican offices in Florence. He rose through the ranks, from Castellan of Frassino (1385) then of Pistoia (1390), then multiple terms as Priore di Libertà (1396 and 1407) then Gonfaloniere di Compagnia (1400, 1405, 1412, 1416). Finally he became a member of the Magistracy of the "XII Buonuomini" (1404 and 1406) then of the Magistracy of the "VIII di Custodia e Balia" (1412). Though in 1412 he was suspected of involvement with the Alberti counts, declared a rebel and exiled, he was pardoned around 1416, when he took up office as castellan of Torre di Sant’Alberto and Casseretto ad Arezzo. Antonio Pucci (born 8 October 1485 in Firenze – 12 October 1544 in Bagnoregio) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church. ''(in Latin)'' Antonio Pucci emanated from the Florentine noble family of Pucci. He was a nephew of Cardinals Roberto Pucci and Lorenzo Pucci. On March 7, 1510, the feast of St. Thomas, Pucci delivered the annual encomium in honor of the "angelic doctor" for the Santa Maria sopra Minerva ''studium generale'', the future Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, ''Angelicum''. After Antonio Pucci participated in the Fifth Council of the Lateran (1512–1517), he served as Nuncio in Switzerland from 1517 to 1521. From 1518 he was bishop of Pistoia. Antonio Maria Pucci
Antonio Maria Pucci (16 April 1819 - 12 January 1892) - born Eustachio Pucci - was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and a professed member from the Servite Order. He was beatified on 12 June 1952 under Pope Pius XII and was later made a saint on 9 December 1962 at the conclusion of the first session of the Second Vatican Council. Life Eustace Pucci was born on 16 April 1819 to a poor sacristan as the second of seven children. He felt called to life in a religious order in his childhood but his father opposed this despite his own career as a church worker. Overcoming this opposition later allowed him to enter the Servite Order in 1837 (at Santissima Annunziata) at which time he was given the religious name of "Antonio Maria". He was ordained to the priesthood in 1843 after having made his profession into the order a few months prior.
