Antonino Faà di Bruno (15 December 1910 – 2 May 1981) was an Italian actor and former military officer. Biography A member of the aristocratic Faà di Bruno family, Antonino Faà di Bruno was born in London, the son of Marchese Alessandro Faà di Bruno (who was the Italian consul in London at that time) and of his wife Fanny Costì. He was named after his namesake ancestor, Antonino Faà di Bruno (1762–1829), who was Bishop of Asti in the 19th century. He took up a military career, becoming a lieutenant in the grenadiers and fighting in Italian East Africa. Antonino Diana (c. 1586 – July 20, 1663) was a Catholic moral theologian. Diana was born of a noble family at Palermo, Sicily. A famous casuist, he was a consultor of the Holy Office of the Kingdom of Sicily and an examiner of bishops under Urban VIII, Innocent X, and Alexander VII. Harshly attacked in Blaise Pascal's ''Provincial Letters'', notably for his famous legitimation of duels, Diana himself claimed that as a rule his solutions followed the milder opinion. Antoninus of Florence (1 March 13892 May 1459), was an Italian Dominican friar, who ruled as an archbishop of Florence. He is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church. Antonino De Bivona-Bernardi
Antonino (or ''Antonius'') de Bivona-Bernardi (1774 or 24 October 1778 – 1837) was a Sicilian botanist, bryologist and phycologist. He was born in Messina, but was orphaned as a child, and moved to Palermo with the uncle who adopted him. He originally pursued law, but changed his studies to the natural sciences and studied botany under Giuseppe Tineo, director of the Palermo Botanical Garden. After graduating, he travelled to Naples and elsewhere in Italy, making the acquaintance of scientists such as Michele Tenore and Vincenzo Petagna.
