Antoni Grover
Antoni Grover (born 11 March 1980) is an Australian rules footballer who played as a defender for the Fremantle Football Club. After being elevated from the rookie list in 1999, he made his debut in round 21 against the Sydney Swans. After this he became an important and consistent performer in his defence, and also had good marking abilities (finishing fifth in the team for general and contested marks in 2005). In round 4, 2003, Antoni Grover was one of seven indigenous players to represent Fremantle, the most ever to play in a single AFL team. South Fremantle Football Club
South Fremantle Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Fremantle, Western Australia. The club plays in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL) and the WAFL Women's (WAFLW), commonly going by the nickname the ''Bulldogs''. Des Headland
Desmond John Headland, Jr (born 21 January 1981) is a retired Australian rules footballer, Following on from his AFL career he continued on finishing his playing career for Subiaco in the West Australian Football League. He was also a former conservative political candidate. He plays as a half-forward flanker or midfielder. Headland was selected with the first overall draft pick in the 1998 AFL draft by the Brisbane Lions. He had a 166-game Australian Football League career, playing for Brisbane and Fremantle. Dion Woods
Dion Woods (born 25 January 1982) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Fremantle in the Australian Football League (AFL) between 2001 and 2005. Woods was drafted from Perth in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) as the 51st selection in the 2000 AFL draft and played mainly as a defender. Tall and athletic, Woods showed much promise in his first year, winning the Fremantle's Beacon Award in 2001 for the best young player and also being nominated for the AFL Rising Star award. His career peaked in 2003 playing in 21 matches, including Fremantle's first ever finals match, as a key member of the "no-name defence". However he struggled to maintain his form and spent most of the 2005 season playing for Perth before being delisted at the end of that season. Steven John Koops (born 24 July 1978) is a former professional Australian rules footballer, who played for the Fremantle Football Club and Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Originally from the Darwin based Southern Districts Football Club in the NTFL, Koops was drafted from the West Perth Football Club in the WAFL. He represented the Northern Territory at the 1994 and 1996 Under 18 Championships and won the Hunter Harrison Medal in 1995 as the best player in Division 2. AFL career In his first four seasons at Fremantle he only played 16 games and in total only played 78 games in eight seasons before being traded to the Western Bulldogs for pick 19 in the 2003 draft. Roger Hayden (born 9 December 1980) is a former Australian rules footballer. He played as a back pocket for the Fremantle Football Club after beginning his senior football career with South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Fremantle career Hayden was drafted by Fremantle in the 2000 Rookie Draft. He spent the entire 2001 season on the rookie list and played for South Fremantle, mainly as a midfielder. When full back Anthony Jones tore his pectoral muscle, Hayden was elevated off the rookie list. He made his AFL debut in round 15, 2002 against the Kangaroos in Canberra at Manuka Oval. In his second game, a Western Derby, he was challenged to play well on Phil Matera, or else it would be his last game for Fremantle. Jeff Farmer (born 24 June 1977) is a former Australian rules footballer of Aboriginal Australians, Aboriginal descent. He was the first Indigenous player to kick 400 goals in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Farmer hails from Tambellup, Western Australia. AFL career Melbourne Known as "The Wizard" (or "The Wiz") because of his uncanny ability to create goals from nothing, Farmer began his Australian Football League, AFL career with the Melbourne Football Club in 1995.
