Anton Ivanov (sprinter)
Anton Sashov Ivanov (; born 18 July 1971) is a retired Bulgarian sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres. He finished eighth in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 1993 World Championships, with teammates Stanislav Georgiev, Tsvetoslav Stankulov and Kiril Raykov. He also finished fifth at the 1994 European Championships and sixth at the 1996 European Indoor Championships. In addition to that, he competed in the men's 200 metres at the 1996 Summer Olympics. The 400 metres, or 400-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field competitions. It has been featured in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1964 for women. On a standard outdoor running track, it is one lap around the track. The men's 200 metres was an event at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. There were 78 participating athletes from 57 nations, with eleven qualifying heats (78), five quarterfinal races (40), two semifinals (16) and a final (8). The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress.
